Monthly Flying Safety Meeting (online)
October 6 @ 18:30 - 19:30
When held in person, the Flying Safety Meeting is held on the first Wednesday of each month, at the Mountain View Club. Come early and have something to eat to support the Club! The instructor’s meeting begins at 1800 (6:00 PM) and the general membership meeting begins at 1830 (6:30 PM).
When unable to meet in person at the Mountain View Club, the meeting slides will be emailed to the members. After reviewing the slides and video, please send a brief e-mail detailing what was included in the slides and video to the Chief Flight Instructor. This will satisfy the attendance requirement for the Safety Meeting. If you do not do this, you will need to meet the meeting requirement by talking personally with the chief flight instructor before you can fly again.
Attendance at our monthly safety meetings is mandatory for club members to maintain flight currency. However, far from being onerous, these monthly meetings are great way to keep up with safety topics and to network with fellow flyers. You also may be lucky to win a fabulous door prize!
If you are unable to attend an in-person meeting, you must view the DVD of the meeting in the Kirtland Flight Center office before you can fly again. If you view it when the office is closed, write a note listing the main topics and slip it under the Chief Flight Instructor’s or the Office Manager’s door to receive credit. If you have any questions about the meeting or slides, please contact us by email or phone (505) 846-1072.
